HOW DREWOR CAME TO BE

Hello! Welcome to my website! How did Drewor come to be? Well, this might sound very specific, but it all happened on a random day in November (the time when I was starting to lose my mind, haha) back in 2023. I used to study in the afternoon, so I could stay awake until dawn—something I did every day (but I can’t anymore since I now study in the morning). At that time, I was fueling myself with caffeine, which is still a habit to this day, but that particular time I couldn’t sleep for THREE DAYS STRAIGHT. During those three days (feeling almost sick and even hallucinating), I ended up creating “DREWOR” in the most random way possible. I was exhausted, almost fainting, sketching random ideas of what the characters would look like and what their names would be, and then I finally went to sleep dreaming about what I had created (inspired by the RanFren style, which I first discovered back in 2016, when I barely knew how to use the internet because I was so young). The main character (Kitty) is based on how I truly am inside (though I changed her appearance, nationality, race, etc.—like, she’s yellow while I’m brown-skinned). Honestly, I made it mostly for fun, because I didn’t have much else to do or a way to express myself. My 2023 drawings were HORRIBLE, but I gradually got better over time... Still, DREWOR wasn’t meant to be what it is at first; originally, I had something I called “Crazy Friends,” which was basically the same as DREWOR, but I didn’t like the pronunciation—it felt boring and short, without even a way to abbreviate it into two names. Then came “Kitty In the Dream World,” which I liked relatively well at the beginning, so I saved it so I wouldn’t forget. And that’s it! The story of DREWOR—how it came to be! Strange, right? It literally came out of a moment when I was hallucinating, but it doesn’t matter—now it’s here, slowly coming to life.
